Meera Jasmine whose original name is Jasmine Mary Joseph is from Kuttapuzha, Thiruvalla, a small town in Kerela. She is the daughter of Joseph Philip and Aleyamma Philip.
She is doing her degree in Home Science. Her entry into the film industry was through Malayalam. It was director Lohitadas who introduced her in his Malayalam movie Soothradharan. Meera is a simple and down to earth person.
Her choices are also undemanding. Her favorite attire is Half Saree and she loves to look homely. Her concept of love is not love at first sight. She believes in love which comes after understanding each other.
